St Therese: today's photos

These photographs are still from Portsmouth Cathedral. Credit: catholicrelics.co.uk. From some of the other photographs, it looks as if the Cathedral was pretty much full for an over night vigil.

I wonder how many people today visited Karl Marx's grave in Highgate Cemetery...?

The sisters are Sr. Michelle (standing) and Sr. Margarita of the Dominican Sisters of St. Joseph. I see they put their cappas on for the occasion :)

Ruth Gledhill, writng in the Times today , met an Anglican nun at Portsmouth Cathedral who said there is a basilica of St Therese where muslims go- they say she answers their prayers.

I doubt Marx has many visitors these days. But I dare say Elvis is doing quite well.

I don't know how many people visited Karl Marx's grave today but Joe has been there -it was in passing, though, not pilgrimage.

Ah, yes " ...Graceland, Graceland, Graceland, Tennessee..." in the words of the singer- songwriter Paul Simon! but I wonder how many will be going to Graceland in 100 years time.
