We have had "some weather"

..... as the saying goes, and rather a lot it, too. Remember, this amount of snow is just not normal in England!

This is the "arty" photo:

And this is the car that has a nice warm home for the night:

And we have been promised some more "weather" for later today and tonight. School is definitely closed today and tomorrow, and, after that, it depends on how much "weather" we get.

You were quick off the mark with your camera! I had to shovel snow from the church steps etc this morning and was suprised to have three people for the Candlemas Mass. The school next door has both teachers and children - though some are missing. My mother (who I offered to take to lunch today when I rang last night) told me to stay where I am. My housekeeper (who lives in Bradford) cannot move from her house. So, it's chicken soup today and possibly another look at "the Magnificent Seven" (it's my day off!) My mother just rang me! "Don't just have soup" she said, "cook yourself a hot meal" (but I like soup!)

I am insanely jealous (however fun Statistical Physics was today). Free to play in the snow!

No such luck for midwives! My colleague called me at 0330 hrs to attend a home birth and when we had just finished there and a warm bed was looked forward to we were called to another home birth! I must say it was lovely to make the first footprints in the snow at to be one of the few on the road. your car is quite spoilt,Joe, I had to clear mine twice- getting a fair bit of snow inside in the process!
